Terms of Use
Last updated: October 31, 2026
These terms apply when you use the BrightPath app, website and recording pendant (together, "BrightPath"), run by BrightPath Solutions. By creating an account or using BrightPath, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
Who can use BrightPath
- Parents and guardians can connect to a child only with a one-time code from the child's school.
- Teachers and school admins can use BrightPath once their school approves their account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Children do not have accounts.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your password private.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
- Your school or BrightPath may disable an account that breaks these terms or that the school no longer authorizes.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- Try to see information about a child you are not authorized to see, or share a parent code with someone who should not have it.
- Share, publish or misuse other students' or families' information.
- Upload unlawful, harmful or unrelated content.
- Try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around the security of BrightPath.
- Use a recording pendant outside the classroom it was assigned for.
AI lesson summaries
Lesson summaries are written automatically from classroom recordings and may contain mistakes. Teachers can edit or archive any summary. The teacher and the school remain the source of truth for grades, deadlines and official school information.
Classroom recording
Schools that use the pendant are responsible for informing students, parents and staff that lessons are recorded, and for any consent their policies or the law require. Pendants are for recording lessons only.
Content
Schools and teachers own the lessons, activities and other content they add. They give BrightPath permission to store, process and show it to the right users so the service can work. BrightPath's software, design and name belong to BrightPath Solutions.
Availability
We work to keep BrightPath available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve features over time.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, BrightPath Solutions is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of BrightPath, including decisions made based on AI-generated summaries.
Ending your use
You can stop using BrightPath at any time. To close your account, contact your school or email us, and we will disable and archive it. We may suspend access if these terms are broken or if your school stops using BrightPath.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
Changes
We may update these terms and will post changes on this page with a new date. If you keep using BrightPath after a change, you accept the updated terms.
